🚨 Excessive force or police brutality? Two cops tackle, punch, spray and cuff a man who is deaf and has cerebral palsy. And it was the wrong guy!😱 —In August 2024, Phoenix police responded to a call about an alleged assault at a convenience store. A white suspect reportedly gave a false description and pointed out McAlpin (who was just walking nearby and had no involvement). Bodycam footage shows officers quickly confronting him, ordering him to the ground, and then using force when he didn’t immediately comply—likely because he couldn’t hear the commands. Officers punched him in the head at least 10 times, tased him at least 4 times, and one officer complained about possibly breaking his hand from the punches. McAlpin later said through an interpreter and sign language that he tried to point to his ears to indicate he was deaf. He was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault but spent time in jail before all charges were dismissed The federal lawsuit against the two officers is still ongoing… what if anything should happen to these officers?
