BOSSO YI BOSSO… ⚽🐘 Yesterday I was most DELIGHTED to learn that HIGHLANDERS FC had finally engaged the renowned superstar and one of Zimbabwe’s most decorated footballers of all time, BENJANI MWARUWARU, as their Head Coach ahead of the 2026 PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE season. 👏👏👏👏 The expertise and pedigree of Mkoma Benji speaks for itself and more importantly, his EXPOSURE to football at the regional level in South Africa, coupled with the rare privilege of being one of the FEW Zimbabwean footballers to play in European football leagues, make him the BEST coach option for iBOSSO. It is high time we relied on our OWN football experts for the club, especially at a time when performance has not been very satisfactory. I therefore wish to CONGRATULATE the team, the technical management, and more importantly, Mkoma Benji, on this WELL-DESERVED appointment 👏. As my small token to the team, and to celebrate this milestone while keeping the PROMISE to my late uncle, the former Vice President of Zimbabwe CDE JOHN LANDA NKOMO, who was an avid supporter of iBOSSO, I am pleased to extend to the club, through its Curator MR JABULANI NKOMO,  US$300,000 immediately. This support is intended, among other things, to contribute towards the sign-on and ANNUAL salary of the new Head Coach, the settlement of any outstanding player arrears, and the signing of new players who will strengthen the squad for the upcoming season. In addition, may the new Head Coach identify a car OF HIS CHOICE with the agreed value in his contract and i will gladly buy it this coming week. Furthermore, I am pleased to share a small SURPRISE to the team , I have purchased and made arrangements for the immediate delivery of a Brand New 75-SEATER HIGER EXECUTIVE BUS worth 285 thousand USD, fitted with luxurious amenities including a toilet,  reclining seats and EXECUTIVE onboard facilities, suitable for the team’s travel, especially when playing away from BARBOURFIELDS STADIUM. It is my sincere hope that, with this small token, the MORALE of management, the technical team, and, most IMPORTANTLY, the players will be significantly boosted. It is also my hope and expectation that, under the patronage of Mr Nkomo, these resources will be prudently utilised in the BEST INTERESTS OF THE CLUB. Ultimately, I anticipate that this support will create a renewed hunger to lift the 2026 PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE TROPHY For the avoidance of doubt, and CONTRARY to some sentiments expressed in certain quarters, I wish to state UNEQUIVOCALLY that I have NO INTENTION whatsoever to control or take over Highlanders Football Club. My interest goes ONLY as far as supporting the club in fulfilment of the wishes of VP John Landa Nkomo, and in furtherance of a PATRIOTIC COMMITMENT to Zimbabwean sport. I believe in supporting and empowering our youth through sport and other productive sectors, and WHERE POSSIBLE, I make personal sacrifices to contribute to that cause. My role remains purely that of a supporter, driven by love for BOSSO and belief in Zimbabwe’s future. #SIYANQOBA #iBOSSO #Benjani_Mwaruwaru #BossoReborn #Nyika_Inovakwa_Nevene_Vayo
