👉🏻 https://t.co/E3EnjLkRtG #Bluray #4KUltraHD #StarWars #WeLovePhysicalMedia @lelabodejay

***FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN*** A Kickstarter campaign has launched for #HomeVideoSaga out of the UK. Quotes from the campaign: HOME VIDEO SAGA was born from the wish to share with you my love of physical media and everything it has given me. All of it through a story that is both playful and educational, in editions with elaborate interactivity, paying tribute to the great days of the LaserDisc and the DVD. It will be a chance to show you what happens behind the scenes and to give a voice to the people we too rarely hear from. CHOOSE YOUR EDITION: FOUR PHYSICAL EDITIONS: - Standard - Dual - Reference - Archive After five years of global blackout, the power finally comes back on. All broadcasting had stopped, and films survived only on physical media, scattered and forgotten. Collectors banded together, helped by droids, to build archive centers. In one of them, devoted to Star Wars, an instructor droid is training a young unit. To pass on the value of these editions, he tells them their story: from the beginnings of cinema and television to the innovations that ran through fifty years of home video. Star Wars has been with me since childhood. Super 8, Betamax, VHS, V2000, CED, LaserDisc, DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD... My own collection brings together fifty years of releases of that saga on physical media from all over the world. It sits at the heart of the film, in a set built around it. The 2 hour docu-fiction combines live action with 3D imagery made by artists, with no generative artificial intelligence, carried by an original score written for the film. It is both a history lesson and a love letter to these films. This is not a film about Star Wars, but about the way it came into our living rooms. About the formats that followed one another, and what each of them brought to picture and sound. ALREADY DONE: THE FOUNDATIONS ARE LAID • The trailer set the groundwork for the project: building the set, the lighting, the choice of camera equipment. • The research on the editions and on the period hardware is done, and so is the negotiation with the partners. • The concepts and the design look are approved in 3D. • The cast, the composer, the mixing and sound design team, the art direction and the book's authors are all lined up, as is the company that will produce the packaging. STILL TO DO: PRODUCE AND MANUFACTURE The whole film still has to be produced: shooting, VFX, 3D and post-production. Then these editions have to be manufactured. That is what your support will make possible.
