It means I have to do more with less all the time, or die.

As someone born with a disability meaning I can't even take care of personal hygiene, every 2 years I have to fight for my benefits. I am not lazy, nor am I a scrounger.

Oh no just found an article in @PakenhamGazette telling people that identity first language is wrong & only person first is right. I’m disabled in the same way that I’m queer. I’m not a person with queerness or a person with a disability. Just #SayTheWord.
Remember: not all disabilities are visible, & can incl. chronic illness, such as #chronicfatiguesyndrome & #fibromyalgia. 💜

Today is International day of people with disability (IPDWD). There is now over 1.3 BILLION people around the world that identify as having a disability (nearly 4.5 in AUS - 20% of the pop!) and every single one of them deserves the right to live the lives they want to live.
I will eventually write something with all the details but this is all the spoons will allow for today.
I've found my community in #DisabledTwitter and @WEPDisability. Im excited for my new job next week working for a Disability charity. Onwards and upwards.
