@Alice_P_Frazier and @KenHale17 in laying out stats that do not lie, when credit unions buy a community bank, consumers and communities are harmed and the important and outsized role community banks play for our industry!
We want a level playing field with taxpayer assisted credit unions because they have long left their “mission of serving people of modest means and a common bond”.
Parity means we are treated the same and and that is now what we have with them so I will never be in favor of giving them anything further to help them further damage #MainStreet
I hope my own state and others will join in legislation that will limit further acquisitions of a community bank.
Join the advocacy fight and let your state reps no the damage these acquisitions have and will continue to have long term.
