🕯️ Today, June 10 — 11 years since the Qalb Lawzah Massacre in Jabal al-Summaq, #Idlib. The beginning of the ethnic cleansing of the #Druze in northern #Syria. Dozens of civilians — men, women, and children — were slaughtered in cold blood by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists. What followed was the systematic destruction of Druze shrines, forced conversions to Sunni Islam, and coerced marriages with the killers. Today, Jabal al-Summaq is completely emptied of Druze. Those who fled to #Suwayda, Jaramana, Lebanon, and beyond kept their faith and dignity. Those who stayed became “former Druze.” The silence and betrayal of some so-called leaders was the deepest wound. Today, a child from Latakia countryside was killed in a suspected war remnants explosion in Khirbet Juz camp near the Turkish border. His father - seen with him in the photo - was killed years ago with his brother by Regime near Kabana (NE. #Latakia countryside). His uncle was also killed in Regime shelling while working his farmland. The child, Wael, was 10.
