Things I learnt today: - your reaction to flash/cgm devices will affect the accuracy (does it itch?) - they're not sure if the length of pump tubing affects how much you actually get - the differential between your temp and insulin affects how well it's absorbed. #GBDoc #IDDT

Dr Gary Adams now. Between 2014 and 2019 the cost of insulin has gone up 54%!! 😱 It's big business. Now insulins are being developed and pushed that require 1 injection a week. Good or bad? What do you think? #GBDoc #IDDT

Interest in HOW to support people to get more exercise. Lots of people stop exercising if it causes disabling hypos yet hcps not recognising how big this is for #pwd. #GBDoc #IDDT

@ProfAJSinclair raising an interesting point that frailty is related to insulin resistance as the muscles can't get the fuel into them from glucose in the bloodstream if there is insufficient insulin. Without power to muscles they waste far quicker. #GBDoc #IDDT #diabetes

Frailty and dementia are both dramatically affected by blood glucose control, whether #Type1Diabetes or #Type2Diabetes. It's really important that care settings are able to actively engage in treatment as muscle wastage from diabetes makes frailty a real issue! #GBDoc #IDDT
