Messy ๐ฅ. What you canโt see is itโs attached to MMT as a stand off. The whole top of the CU is unsupported. I wonโt mention the loose conductors, trapped insulation, or bus bar...#Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires #Maybelater
Ahhh Screw it! This is the last thing I want at 5. ๐ฅ Iโm going home. . . Oh Damn it! This in MY hob. I am at home. ๐ #electrical #shearedscrew #Ifixstuffwithwires #Iwashopingtodothiswithanewkitchennottheoldone
Holes in girder brought to you by @armeguk #LDXcutters Cables & grommet to follow of course. A bit of cutting compound helps too! Itโs a handy little bottle ๐ #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
For those of you whom like little #ferrule action. You can get twin ferrules & non insulated ferrules. I particularly like the non insulated for tight terminal space & that factory fresh cable look. It's great that more people are using them. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
Found a pic of a CU from 10years ago before working for myself. I think I can remember where. Is it rude to knock on the door and ask to do a 10yr EICR ๐ค. Not to shabby, Im assuming I changed the socket below after the picture, I cant remember! #Electrical #IFixstuffwithwires
"oh, I'm glad your here. I've just plugged my hoover in there and it's gone BANG ๐ฅ" Oh dear ๐คฆ๐ #Electrical #ElectricalSaftey #IFixStuffWithWires @ElecSafetyFirst
When on holiday it's important to do some of the things you enjoy. Jealous of 3phase to the house, even a 3phase induction hob. Advice & assistance repairing the Sauna LEDs . #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
Behind the oven. Why is it behind the oven? Why is it always the last item that I don't want to move? ๐ #FaultFinding #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
About to change a light fitting. And the SL has sleeving on it! That's weird. ๐ Not used to it. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
More delights, that made me feel better for ripping this all out. I can't have any more "oh heck" moments left in this place. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
I don't normally get this much @PrysmianUK Cable in one go. And something tells me it's not going to be enough either! #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
Any one else ponder like this? I have limited space to the CU. So planning conduit size through a 9" wall. Glad I'm checking as I'm not happy with the free space, so I will be doubling up. Adds room for intumescent seals as well. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
Fitted a @ansell_lighting Mira LED flood in a car valeting bay (new for old swap). Customer very happy as they can clearly see into boots again. Being die-cast & Ansell it should dissipate it's heat nicely as it's on all day. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
Sometimes I do love a good'ol light fitting. Changed to @ansell_lighting Tornado 6ft twin equivalent. But phwaaaooor that click. ๐ #IFixStuffWithWires #Electrical #Kerklunk
This is NOT a good earth connection.
(Pre Twitter Wednesday. Is that a thing?;) ) #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
<sarcasm>You know it was a quality fitting by the colour of the wires. And a quality install by the cost saving in earth sleaving.</sarcasm> I'm pleased I've been asked about an #Electrical #Inspection. I was going to suggest one, this is the "better" bit. #IFixStuffWithWires
Out with the old in with the @Aico_Limited . Just in time for #TestItTuesday. Optical with 10yr lithium backup. Superb smoke alarms ๐ #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
This DB is having an identity crisis. Can you guess the make? Not sure I would. I donโt usually see this brand, Iโm a little further afield today. #Electrical #EICR #IFixStuffWithWires #MCB s are not #Pick&Mix
Out with the old & in with the new. The @Uniliteuk PS-IL5 is such a great inspection lamp for these tasks. #Electrical #IFixStuffWithWires
