Last week, nearly 500 7th & 8th-grade students joined us for virtual Student Leadership Day where they created action plans on social justice issues important to them & their communities.

The inspiring day included participants hearing from Eric K. Ward, @WStatesCenter’s Executive Director, who shared nearly 30 years of expertise in community organizing, giving students the tools to #makeadifference in their own communities. #IHMSLD
After learning about the Holocaust & #HumanRights, students worked together to create social media campaigns – hashtags, slogans, and logos – and some even started their own social media accounts. #IHMSLD
While it looked different this year, this week's Student Leadership Day was a huge success. Over 200 high school students joined us to learn how to develop & carry out action plans to address social justice issues in their schools, communities, and the wider world. #IHMSLD
While touring the Museum, some students had the unexpected bonus of talking with Holocaust Survivor and visitor services volunteer, Lillian Zoloto, who was a hidden child in Belgium.
