In science this week, #IJSYear4 went on a search for living things (including plants) in our school grounds. They then started to classify want they had found into different groups.

After practising hard, some of #IJSYear4 & #IJSLearningZone took to the stage & performed at New College in their production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. They were amazing!
Today, some of #IJSYear4 had the opportunity to take part in a session delivered by @CurveLeicester's creative team at @NewCollegeLeice exploring designs for The Wizard Of Oz. They had a great time and enjoyed getting crafty.
Yum! As part of their DT learning #IJSYear4 have been adapting a biscuit recipe to create their own versions. They added extra ingredients and made modifications to the basic biscuit dough before baking them. All of the biscuits tasted delicious (especially the green ones)!
Some fantastic artwork has been created by Yr 4 this week. They created these patterns using reflection and symmetry #IJSYear4

Y4 really enjoyed their visit to the Leicester Central Mosque this morning as part of their RE learning. They asked some brilliant questions and showed excellent listening! Well done! #IJSYear4

Year 4 enjoyed a brilliant workshop today from the #LeicesterMuseumandArtGallery. They created some beautiful bird collages to symbolise the many refugees who have been forced to leave their own homes. #IJSYear4
Year 4 loved sharing their memoirs with each other at their Publishing Party earlier. Their envelopes are sealed and they can't wait to share their writing with someone special at home too! #IJSYear4

Year 4 used their oracy skills to learn about Roman Clothing in History. They asked each other questions and discussed which people they thought were the most important in society and why! #IJSYear4
Aquila class enjoyed learning all about St Andrew ahead of St Andrew's day earlier this week! They enjoyed learning their words and performing their assembly! #IJSYear4
What a fantastic day! Aquila class loved dressing up as spotty rock stars for our Children in Need and TTRS day! They loved joining in with our whole school drumathon too! #IJSYear4
Year 4 were fascinated to listen to the #1 bestselling author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, Jeff Kinney. He talked about how he became a writer and how long it took him to write his very first book! #IJSYear4
Year 4 enjoyed a trip to our local church a few weeks ago! They asked fantastic questions and enjoyed looking at different artefacts! Some children even got to try on some clothes too! #IJSYear4
