When testing your cancer for biomarkers like #PDL1 or #EGFR, @FordePatrick says there is no good or bad answer, just the correct info about what drives your #lungcancer. This helps treat your cancer best way possible - #immunotherapy, #targetedtherapy, #chemo, etc #ILCSC21

While currently the main utility for #liquidbiopsies is to help newly diagnosed patients know their tumor profile, @christine_lovly hopes they will one day also be used to complement CT scans to better assess response to treatment and determine how well drug is working #ILCSC21

SCLC expert @LaurenByersMD shared ongoing research to identify and understand biomarkers in #smallcell #lungcancer. Researchers are looking to develop tests to find biomarkers in order to predict response to therapies & match patients to specific targeted treatments #ILCSC21
