Folks, on Sunday 14 Jun, I had the previlege of witnessing a poignant moment in @indiannavy history - the number plating of #INAS330 & the retirement of the #SeaKingMk42B helicopter.

To me, as a surface warfare officer, we grew with these formidable birds, which were the mainstay of Fleet Ops from late 80s until recently. Have lots of wonderful memories of the '10 ton monsters' and their terrific crew.

मुंबई के #INSShikra में #INAS330 के CHEAA(R) राम रतन जाट ने 17-22 जून 2024 तक आयोजित Great Himalayan Running Festival की Hell Ultra Race में दूसरा स्थान हासिल करके इतिहास रच दिया है।
वह 480 किमी लंबे कठिन मनाली-लेह मार्ग को 105:39:30 घंटे में पूरा करने वाले सबसे तेज़ भारतीय बन गए हैं।
यह उपलब्धि विशेष रूप से उल्लेखनीय है क्योंकि रेस रूट को इसकी उच्च ऊंचाई और कठोर मौसम के कारण दुनिया भर में सबसे कठिन में से एक माना जाता है।

Indian Naval Air Squadron 330 celebrated its 53rd anniversary on 17 Apr. The squadron was commissioned in 1971 and was baptised by fire during the #1971 #IndoPak war.

The #INAS330 (The Harpoons) was commissioned on 17 April 1971. #ThisDayInIndianNavy The squadron was raised on the Sea King helicopters, and 'Born To Battle'- it participated in the #IndoPakWar1971 bringing home an NM for the commissioning CO Cdr MP Wadhawan and two VSMs.
