Denver Grand Jury Indicts Married Couple in Alleged Multi-Million Dollar Cryptocurrency Scam
DENVER — Denver District Attorney John Walsh announced today that a Denver grand jury has indicted Eli and Kaitlyn Regalado on 40 counts regarding an alleged multi-million-dollar cryptocurrency scam.
According to the indictment, between January 2022 and July 2023, the Regalados solicited nearly $3.4 million from investors who were looking to buy INDXcoin, a cryptocurrency created and marketed by the Regalados. The Regalados allegedly used their faith-based connections to recruit investors while promising exorbitant returns on the investments. The indictment alleges that, in reality, only a small amount of the proceeds went to the business venture and that the Regalados spent at least $1.3 million on personal expenditures, including a home renovation that they have allegedly claimed “the Lord” told them to do. As alleged, INDXcoin maintained zero value and all of the investors lost all of their money.
“These charges mark a major step forward in our work to hold the Regalados accountable for their alleged crimes and to bring a measure of justice to the victims. I want to thank the prosecutors and investigators in my office, and, particularly, the investigators with the Colorado Division of Securities and the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, whose outstanding work on the case resulted in this indictment,” said DA Walsh.

She warned that anyone using phones, messaging apps, or email in the courtroom will face contempt of court. This comes after days of rising tension and apparent violations of courtroom rules. #INDX
Observers believe the crackdown was aimed directly at Eli Regalado, who’s representing himself pro se and may have been getting outside help during the proceedings — possibly even legal advice via text. The judge also explicitly warned anyone watching online and anyone assisting from out of state that unauthorized legal support is considered the unlicensed practice of law.
The courtroom tone shifted from relaxed to visibly angry. It’s clear the court is tightening its grip.

Today in day 2 of the trial was an absolute shit show.
As anticipated, Eli Regalado and INDXcoin scam continues to untangle. Officially Eli Sr, Dan Applegate and Raina Applegate records under subpoena for their role and reboot token scam.
Expecting news to involve Mark McCorkle, Phil Stanton, Andre Wegner and Shone Clark.
This needs to be more than civil!
Day 1 – Afternoon Trial Update:
After lunch, prosecutors called Eli Regalado of #INDXcoin to the stand.
What followed was total collapse.
Under oath, Eli admitted to:
• Using investor funds to buy a Range Rover
• Paying a $256,000 contractor
• Covering child support and family expenses
• Selling #Sumcoin before launching INDXcoin
• Calling Sumcoin “overvalued”
• Working with two former Sumcoin contributors
• Falsifying their names as “Oscar” and “Jose” on the INDX website
• Maliciously Hard-forking the Sumcoin network
Stealing proprietary code of Sumcoin
Let’s be clear:
This was not the doing of the official Sumcoin developers.
Eli was never the creator of Sumcoin. He was exposed as a fraud years ago and cut off by the real team.
After being rejected, he retaliated:
— breached server access,
— manipulated two outside devs to follow him,
— and launched a malicious imitation of Sumcoin’s codebase to build INDXcoin.
Today in court, Eli confirmed it all.
He admitted that the 2022 Sumcoin disruption was HIS doing — not the fault of the Sumcoin project or its devs.
So to those in the Sumcoin community who lost coins or saw disruption:
You now have courtroom proof that Eli Regalado caused it.
Sumcoin remains alive, secure, and functioning independently.
This wasn’t failure — this was sabotage.
Prosecutors also replayed the now-infamous video:
“Yes, I took $1M+. The Lord told me to remodel my house. ”
This time, you could see Eli starting to realize how bad this was.
The damage kept coming.
Eli confirmed under oath that he misled investors, misused funds, and lied about developers, stole intellectual property; just on and on.
Kaitlynn and Nathaniel? Still acting like it’s a game.
Their cross-examination of Eli was chaotic. The judge stepped in repeatedly.
Sumcoin was named in court.
Not as a scam — but as a project misused by a fraudster who failed to hijack it.

Eli Regalado & Kaitlynn Regalado, along with third defendant Nathaniel Enos, are representing themselves with no lawyers.
They’ve been giggling, leading witnesses, breaking courtroom rules, and had to be repeatedly corrected by the judge — who is clearly giving them enough rope.
Eli objected for 10 minutes straight trying to block the infamous video where he says:
“Yes, I took $1M+. The Lord told me to do a home remodel”
It was admitted anyway. Played on a huge screen — the room fell silent.
Kaitlynn tried to submit surprise evidence by email last night, without proper notice — and Judge denied it.
Eli tried to call four witnesses without disclosing them. Denied.
No jury. The judge alone will decide — making this a clean setup for criminal charges.
Victims are watching in person. So are journalists. Investigators have laid out detailed financials, bank deposits, and traced funds.
Enos, the third defendant, told the court he’s “prayed for hours” with Eli.
