Another successful lab day today πͺ Looks like protoplast extraction from Metarhizium acridum is easy!
Some optimization needed for the other species, but decent progress so far π

Finally got to use the @BioSenseSoluti1 #ocelloscope this week for spore counts π₯³
What a breeze compared to manual counting: 5 isolates, 3 dilutions, in triplicate = 45 samples counted 1.5mins π±
Can't wait to do my growth and germination assays soon!

Still happily chomping on lettuce π₯¬ and basking under the fake sun π

My locusts arrived, have been transferred to their new home and seem to be doing ok (minus the occasional cannibalism...) π¦
They've got a heat lamp and all the lettuce they can eat- not a bad life, eh? #INNOFUN
And their home is clean and ready! π
I have 100 locusts arriving this week that I'll (hopefully) keep happy and fed before using them to make cuticle media for my Metarhizium isolates π¦π
