A triggered event can leave a stain that I can't remove from my life. I don't share my #EmotionalStain #IOWNME and this gives me a strength that even #PTSD can't steal from me. I'm trying to do the steps towards my #MentalHealthier life. I'll trip up, but I'll get up too! ✌🏻✌🏻

#PTSDChat Another frightening aspect for me is self-responsibility. Some of the outcomes that have come about were due to me. My words or actions created them. No matter the cause of my responses, it was still me. This is one of the ways #IOWNME.

I'm working on my life, accepting help, is one of the things I have to work on. #IOWNME, so I have to be honest with myself. I know I can be a huge pain in the ass for another person to deal with, but it's not on purpose. After I was #SA as a child, I set some hard boundaries.

#PTSDChat will I like me today? I already have the scars, they'll be there, so I'm not wasting time trying to pretend they're not! My life is full of scar tissue, I don't have the right to traumatize myself by lying about that. #IOWNME, and sometimes that IS the trauma I face.

I've been asked why I like animals so much. I respond with a question: "Why shouldn't I like them?" Numerous conversations, and still no one's been able to offer an opposing reason for me not to like them. #IOWNME! #KNOWTHIS! Oh, BTW, everyone? Say "Hi" to Chuck, he likes that.

Many of the people who say they love me, when I revealed that I was living with #PTSID! Who thinks this could possibly add to my #EmotionalTrauma? You don't have to me an "expert" in mind health to come up with the answer. #ImNotAshamedOfMyMHConditions cuz #IOWNME #KNOWTHIS!

#PTSDchat Yes, I've attempted #Suicide, and I'm not proud of this, but still, I am not ashamed of this either. It's who I have been. Broken, depressed, anxious, confused, frightened, hopeless, and so tired that I wanted to die. Not put me out of my misery, but DEAD! #IOWNME!
