Judicial approval of warrants under #IPA2016 via @IPCOffice is a positive step for many reasons. This Treaty is one of them. It should assist the investigation and prosecution of serious crime while avoiding excessive intrusions into privacy.
This valuable Treaty, which Parliament has prepared for and will scrutinise, results from the strong US-UK security relationship and improved legal safeguards in #IPA2016. It will be a template for US CLOUD Act agreements with 5Eyes and EU countries.
