कॉलेज कई बार समाचारों की सुर्खियों में रही है, अक्सर सही कारणों से नहीं।
पिछले वर्ष स्टूडेंट्स के वर्षिक सांस्कृतिक उत्सव में सैकड़ों असामाजिक तत्व कॉलेज की चारदीवारी फांदकर घुस आए और कॉलेज के वार्षिक उत्सव के दौरान छात्रों को परेशान और उनका उत्पीड़न किया।
इस घटना के विरोध करने पर दिल्ली पुलिस ने 11 स्टूडेंट्स को हिरासत में लिया।
इस घटना की जाँच कमिटी में एक विद्वान महिला प्रोफेसर Shubhda Chaudhary ने जब कार्यवाई की अनुशंसा की तो उन्हें नौकरी से हाँथ धोना पड़ा।
अब नवनियुक्त संघी प्रिंसिपल महोदया के एक वर्ष पूरा होने पर कॉलेज सभागार में प्रिंसिपल महोदया को एक कुर्सी पर बिठाकर मंत्रोच्चारण के साथ, फूलों की वर्षा करके, अक्षत और गंगाजल से उनका अभिनंदन किया गया।
यह वीडियो, जब मैं दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के ही #KirorimalCollege में छात्र था, तब हमारे एक उत्कृष्ट प्रोफेसर केवल अरोड़ा जी के @facebook वाल से मिला है, जिसे शेयर किए बिना मैँ न रह सका।
उन्होंने लिखा है :
"This is what happened at IP College when the new appointee completed one year as Principal. What next?

यानि
"आईपी कॉलेज में ऐसा ही हुआ जब नए नियुक्त व्यक्ति ने प्रिंसिपल के रूप में एक साल पूरा कर लिया। आगे क्या?
