She finishes by saying that following the first covid-19 outbreak and inspection from NHS England has resulted in positive IPC changes across the ward.

Gemma talks about how all staff on the ward - from housekeepers to doctors - have a say and be part of the change that needed to happen.

She highlights how staff were anxious and scared, but a week into the outbreak, they were confident and able to support and proactively challenge each other for the best of the ward and their patients.

Gemma looks back at the first covid-19 outbreak that happened on the ward. She described the experience would've been much harder without the support of the IPC team.
