At DFW, bag detours to manual check. TSA agent 1: “Oh it’s a #sweetpotato” TA 2: “Red skinned? My favorite kind. How do you cook it?” Me: “I usually bake it” TA 2: “Me too, have a nice flight” Note to self: excellent root phenotyping at airports. #IPPNrootphenotyping

Many thanks to Elison Blancaflor & Noble Research Institute's Plant Cell Biology Lab team for relocating equipment to the workshop site. Root anatomy is frequently overlooked in phenotyping & often provides context to root architecture adaptations. #IPPNrootphenotyping

A tornado warning ⚠️ disrupted the #IPPNrootphenotyping workshop and pushed us into the laundry room as if the excitement from the cool phenotyping tools is not enough... (but we’re far away from the system according to the weatherman).
