Looks really interesting. Congratulations on the book!
Kevin was part of our panel at #DataImpact2021 #IdentityInData earlier this year, focusing on the intersection of where data practices and concepts of gender, sex and sexuality meet.

What questions & answers shaped the #SewellReport of 2,339 survey responses? Who asked & answered them & why? Was there unconscious bias? If researchers are to learn anything from #IdentityInData we must challenge the methodologies. https://t.co/Wx4dJs2wA6
This was a joy to attend! If you couldn't be there, have a read of this report about #DataImpact2021 #IdentityinData by @UKDataService @UKDSImpact focussing on visibility in data for marginalised groups https://t.co/9J6DtNLgXc

Highlight of my week was this discussion of identity and data. Such a powerful keynote by @lemnsissay and thought provoking discussions by the panel. Thanks for organising @UKDSImpact #IdentityInData
Our chair @GillianMPrior rounding off the events with a few reflections and ideas for next steps.
Thank you to her, to our keynote speaker @lemnsissay and panellists @DharmiKapadia @kevin_guyan @Daniel_Stajecki Craig Moss and Karen Hurrell.

#DataImpact2021: #IdentityInData: Who counts? Visibility, voice and culture. @lemnsissay introduction was the most inspiring and generous talk about data and visibility I attended in the past 10 years at least.

Today's #28WomenInFeb is @DharmiKapadia - friend, colleague and brilliant researcher who presented today at the @UKDSImpact #IdentityInData event. Dharmi's work is vital, and she argues passionately for mixed-methods research (could not agree more). Glad to know you Dr Kapadia.

How can data providers and agencies address some of the methodological and ethical challenges raised during #DataImpact2021? How can intersectionality support #IdentityInData? Continue any of the the discussions from today’s insightful event @ https://t.co/zRZuc3XCfX…

Thank you @lemnsissay and all of today’s speakers for a very thought-provoking seminar. And thank you @UKDataService for organising #IdentityInData #dataimpact2021
Should ethnicity be self-defined or defined by researchers? @lemnsissay talks of personal experiences around the institutional invisibility of data and how this has affected his life #IdentityInData #DataImpact2021 @ESRC

Really, really interesting and energising discussion on #identityindata and the importance of capturing intersecting identities in research at #dataimpact2021 @UKDSImpact
@DharmiKapadia If you don't trust government and agencies, why would you trust them with your #IdentityInData?
#DataImpact2021
Also the importance of quantitative as well as qualitative data.
Delighted I decided 2join #DataImpact2021 despite teaching pressures. Fantastic #criticaldatastudies keynote+panel on enhancing marginalised group visibility & including their experiences as self-identified(!), intersectionality #IdentityInData #CriticalQuant #SocialJusticeQuant

People need to be seen in the data, especially when statistical systems change over time and small minorities may not be easily reflected.

A powerful event hosted by @UKDSImpact today. Numbers represent stories. Thanks to the incredible @lemnsissay for the keynote and this panel for helping us ask difficult questions. #identityindata #dataimpact2021
