@UkKaleidoscopic have raised concerns that abusers are able to manipulate courts by acting as victims themselves.
Today I called for a debate in Government time on how we can implement experts to advise the Judiciary to prevent this, and support victims of domestic violence.
The truth is I really wanted to become a #IDVA, and I think that was my aim as I do speak to a lot of victims and wanted to have more power to be able to do something for them.
However, there are a number of issues with IDVAs, and someone said to me recently it really isn't all that.
It did change my perspective when I look at experiences people have had with IDVAs.
Now, there are those I respect like @SODASam_ now she's used her training for good, and she also had her experience prior to that.
My friends mum is a qualified IDVA, but she never worked as an IDVA and even she criticised the training now compared to what it used to be.
I've had many victims who have had bad experiences with them.
I know some do their qualification and then don't work with victims which to me I don't grasp that.
I think some of the attitudes displayed are seriously harmful and i look at the DA sector at the moment and some of the things they say I think to myself "think!".
It's harmful to so many victims which is why they are fleeing in their droves.
I can't say I blame them.
Some of them are dangerous and we talk about experts being unregulated and working outside their remit and they are talking about fields like medical in which they have no idea.
I said to one of them do you actually have any medical training? Have you spoken to this family or found out about the child or are you just DA trained.
The answer just DA trained.
Then stick to that.
I think i went through every emotion in the book yesterday.
I felt worthless, abused, ignored, triggered, angry, frightened and upset.
I feel like I've gone 100 steps back.
I've now got to find an independent #IDVA, #supportworker and #solicitor.
The stress i feel under is unbelievable.
Having had a meeting with my psychologist earlier he is absolutely horrified at what I've had to deal with.
I've now got to have another session in a few days.
Having had so many flashbacks yesterday it took me right back as if no time at all had passed.
Why? Because someone again expects me to be put in that position.
People talk of hope and they talk of healing.
There isn't healing while abuse is ongoing.
We don't get to be free.
We don't get to live our lives.
We are prisoners to the life family court gave us.
Compounded by other professionals who have made our lives hell.

This is a serious issue with #socialworkers and the Local authorities.
They ignore #DomesticAbuse when it's going on in front of them.
When it's being reported to them.
If you're like @RCTCouncil they'll even delete #IDVA reports when the IDVA has witnessed it.
They won't do a risk assessment.
They won't provide help and support.
They won't even get back to you when you're reporting abuse.
You end up fighting for your children because this lot didn't act and covered it by shifting social workers and a manager to another area.
They forget we speak and we know the tricks in this profession and in these councils.
