1/ Our new favorite thing to do? Playing shows in bursting-at-the-seams blue festival tents. My God. What happened in Dublin will stay with us for a long, long time.
Well, certainly the ageless James Newell Osterberg Jr. didnβt feel the Dublin chill in breeze last evening. At a spritely 78-years-young, undeniably Mr. Pop & his sonically superb band sublimely wrecked the gaff; absolutely brilliant! ππ΄ββ οΈβ‘οΈπ₯

Plenty life in the old dog yet. @IggyPop last night at #InTheMeadows in @IMMAIreland thanks to me ol' @DCU mucker, Emer. No idea if I saw him at #Feile '93 - lads, I barely remember last week - but I won't be forgetting this in a hurry. π

Totally authentic!
Giving it everything he's got!
In great form & loving being there! It really added to the rapport with the crowd!
A rocking hit-filled main stage set to wrap up a brilliant day!
The man utterly fu*king rocks at 78. Same age as my mother.
Although he asked for a jacket to wear for a bit, because even he isn't hardy enough for the unseasonably low Irish temperature at present.

#IntheMeadows Dublin
In a state of bliss after @slowdiveband at #IntheMeadows Dublin. My first #Slowdive gig - they were more than I hoped for. Beautiful light show too. I loved #shoegaze in the early '90s but focused more on Lush and RIDE. I'm so grateful I properly investigated Slowdive eventually.
Just finished up working on #inthemeadows at the @rhkopw. I didn't stick around for Iggy (I know shocking π±π). First time working on this event. It was a really great experience working with some really AMAZING people. My mood has lifted a little but still a bit to go. π.
Absolute quality!!!

Bringing the tent into beautiful dark atmospherics!
Loving that sound!!!
Whole tent swaying!

Pulsating set!!!
@Gilla_Band #InTheMeadows
My 7th time to see them & 1st time in 6yrs.
Worth remembering that really these are the guys that kicked open and shook the Irish rock doors just over a decade ago!
For all the bands that have emerged since to flood through!
Been a busy boy!
#InTheMeadows
#TrupaTrupa absolutely played a blinder! Stole the show so far for me! It'll be hard to beat that captivating frontman performance!
@trupatrupaband
#BillyNomates party!
#MuireannBradley serenaded us in sun with the blues!
#Warmduscher gave it some!
Remarkable!
@official_jcc #InTheMeadows
Enigmatic! Charismatic!
Fantastic stage craft!
Poems, stories & ad-libs!
Had entire tent listening to every word for 45mins!

On fire
Never forgetπ
1)grabbing stage invader by the breeches & launching him back into crowd
2)Spotting Andrea Corr in box & swinging mic lead lasso style until she had to duck
