⚠️ dooming post : If this keeps up through all of Q4 and into early 2027 and they still can’t break past 20 million on iOS alone (which is the platform most Chinese players use) PG might genuinely start considering AI when the annual earnings report comes around. The fandom, on all side, is already flooded with AI “animations” and a lot of people don’t seem bothered by it at all and what actually costs PG the most isn’t the writing or making 3D assets like outfits either : it’s the performance capture. Based on an article I read, AI can cut that cost by around 60% and cut the time by half. I think that would be the most telling story of our generation : a fandom primarily made of women forcing a team of mostly women artists into wiping out years of human artistic work, only to replace it with AI as the game needs to claw its way back financially. Even many 3D otome games coming next year will be AI assisted if not AI made *sigh* (Screenshots below are “fan creations” I saw on my priv)
