💚 #Irish poet MATTHEW SWEENEY died of motor neuron disease six years ago today.
After losing his sister to #MND/#ALS in 2009, he stood by her grave and asked her to help him not to have to endure the hell she had experienced.

West light #inishtrahull as one of the islanders would see it - but the lighthouse wasn’t there (some buildings were) on the west side until after WW2. So it’s a relatively new view captured in an old frame… if you like :-) …. 1/2
