Known as "The Greatest Team in Pilot History," the 2017 squad came in to the year ranked outside the Top 10, and surprised the nation with a 2nd place finish.

Now starting his fourth year as RC's assistant, Jack has taken on many of the recruiting responsibilities for the program, and serves as meet director for our indoor meets in the Chiles Center.

The most recent construction project on campus has seen a transformation of Joe Etzel Field and the adjacent Chiles Center Plaza, which is in its final stages of completion.

Coach Ferate has been at UP for over three years, and has been an integral part in the development and implementation of our Strength & Conditioning program. Our guys see him 2-3 times a week during the year.

We were fortunate to have Max Munson join our staff as Athletic Trainer this past season. Max previously worked at the College of San Mateo and Santa Clara University, but is a native of the PNW, having completed his undergrad at Oregon State.

Just a three hour drive up I-5, the UW Invitational has been a late January staple for us. This year, George took his heat of the 3000m in 8:06.52 with a strong kick down the stretch.

After graduating in '07, Steven went to veterinarian school and is now a practicing vet in PDX. He has also run 3 marathons (Portland '16, Boston '18, Chicago '19) & 2 full Ironman Triathlons (Coeur d'Alene '13, Penticton '15).

Just across the Columbia River is Ft Vancouver, a former fur trading post with plenty of open space and a nearby dirt track. The versatility of the space makes it a favorite for our workouts.

Since graduating with two degrees from UP, David has continued to build his running menswear brand, BLK RBN, and has recently started another brand, Perry Jewelry. He also ran 2:25:16 at the Berlin Marathon in 2018.

IU hosts one of the early season indoor meets in December. Back in 2015, Woody and Reid went 1-3 in the 5000m, running 13:44.34 and 13:49.62. Those ended up as the 7th and 18th best times in the nation that season.
