El programa de Noticias cinematográficas (China Movie Report), de CCTV-6 dedicó un espacio a las películas aprobadas por la Administración Nacional de Cine de China durante mayo de 2026 y destacó el avance de #Intercross (人·鱼 / Mermaid), la próxima colaboración entre #WangYibo y el director #ChengEr.

La Administración Nacional de Cine de China publicó un nuevo registro y aprobación del guion de #Intercross (Mermaid / 人·鱼), la próxima película escrita y dirigida por #ChengEr, protagonizada por #WangYibo.
Aunque el rodaje de la película ya concluyó, el proyecto tuvo que ser registrado nuevamente debido a un cambio en su modalidad de producción. Originalmente, Intercross estaba clasificada como una producción nacional china; sin embargo, ahora pasó a ser una coproducción internacional, incorporando dos nuevas compañías al proyecto. Al tratarse de una categoría distinta, la legislación cinematográfica china exige realizar un nuevo proceso de registro y aprobación.
La nueva documentación también presenta una versión actualizada de la sinopsis. La historia continúa siguiendo a tres personajes cuyas vidas terminan conectándose: un joven que enfrenta un accidente inesperado durante el invierno en el noreste de China, un hombre de mediana edad que oculta una vida secreta en Hanói (Vietnam) y una familia en Hong Kong que lucha por salir adelante. En comparación con el registro original de 2023, el segmento que antes se desarrollaba en Japón fue sustituido por Hong Kong, aunque la estructura central de la historia permanece intacta.
En otras palabras, este nuevo registro no significa que la película tenga problemas, sino que actualiza oficialmente la documentación del proyecto tras su cambio a coproducción internacional, representando un nuevo paso antes de su estreno.
