PSA: The 3 police officers that heroically stopped the Senegalese mass shooter that opened fire on a bar in Austin, are being forced to stand before a Grand Jury to consider whether or not charges should be brought against them for stopping the shooter. Apparently, due to a criminal justice reform organization called “the Wren Collective” the DA is required to consider charges every single time a police officer uses force. Per @DouglasOConnell, “the DA completely controls the Grand Jury & decides what evidence they see and what they’re prohibited from seeing” These officers should be hailed as heroes, not only for their incredibly fast response time (57 seconds) but also for risking their lives to take down this shooter.
