Ultimate Attribution Error: We tend to attribute good acts by allies to their character, and bad acts by allies to situational factors. For opponents, itโs reversed: good acts are attributed to situational factors, and bad acts to character.

Confirmation bias is when your beliefs hijack your neutrality in selecting and interpreting data.
To correct for it, err on the side of disconfirmation. Seek evidence that challenges your beliefs, and raise the burden of proof for evidence that affirms them.

One of the reasons we created #InterviewWise...to stamp out bias and stop these types of questions. Programs across the country are becoming more and more aware and training their faculty on appropriate (& legal!) ways to interview. #FITxBEST #AWSchat
