So we've been waiting years to get this issue heard in the High Court. We've had an injunction for years, we were the first company with such. Yet apart from the regular FSAI/HSE hassle, this week we've lost 11+kg of premium CBD cannabis flower to Customs. That's not only a disaster for our supplier relationships, but for EU-growers exporting into Ireland in general.
It also represents over โฌ30,000 euro's of hard wholesale value. And, if you want to use the @gardainfo rationale, a "street value" of โฌ220,000 euro's of herbal cannabis... (๐คช)
Our High Court case has been up for 'Mention' more times than the weather. Word is there will be a Hearing this June.
In the time it's taken, if the Government had wanted to actually co-operate, collaborate & work with the current industry operators and well informed legal/medical professionals (no, I'm not referring to you, @MythsCannabis) -- we could all have a fully fleshed out, operational and most importantly, HELPFUL cannabis industry in this country Right Now.
Instead, they remain steadfast with the jack-boot approach to this plant. They don't want to give people choice, as much as they profess to. They don't want a "health-led" approach, they don't want you growing your own. They don't want to let responsible people run cannabis cafes and dispensaries.
They want you taking Their Drugs, supplied by Their Pharmaceutical Bedfellows, all the time. In what world does this make sense? I'll tell you. A world driven purely by profit and control.
All the while, Germany is legalising, yet here in ole Ireland, the prohibition-led black market for undesirable synthetic cannabinoids flourishes!
Well honestly Irish Government, I've had enough. And I've had enough for quite some fucking time!
We will see you in that High Court, and if we lose, we will see you in the the Supreme Court, and if we lose there - we will see you in Luxembourg, in the European Court of Justice.
We will never go away and we will never stop fighting against exactly what is is you want:
A homogenised, co-opted, plastic-packaged, faceless, corporate cannabis industry. Where the value of the industry magically disappears off-shore to your favourite multi-national bedfellows and the Irish public remain in their designated station, as peons, feeding from the globalist conveyor belt.
Not gonna happen here!!

Building a whole regulatory model for cannabis will take some time, but the provision of personal grows for consumers in the interim will give people a way out of purchasing on the dangerous illicit market, promote safety and reduce criminalisation.
