#IrmaGrese je služila v Ravensbrücku, Auschwitzu-Birkenauu in Bergen-Belsnu. Komaj v dvajsetih letih je postala ena najbolj razvpitih stražark v nacističnem sistemu koncentracijskih taborišč.
Ni bila pomembna. Bila je le zelo dobra v krutosti.
Nekdanji zaporniki so pričali, da je osebno pretepala zapornike. Obtožili so jo tudi sodelovanja pri selekciji v Auschwitzu, kjer je odločala, kateri zaporniki bodo ostali živi in kateri bodo poslani v plinske celice.
Preživeli so se kasneje pojavili na sodišču in pričali proti njej. Grese se je izrekla za nedolžno, vendar jo je britansko vojaško sodišče obsodilo za vojne zločine, storjene v Auschwitzu in Bergen-Belsnu.

Irma Grese served at Ravensbrück, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Bergen-Belsen. Barely in her twenties, she became one of the most notorious female guards in the Nazi concentration-camp system.
She wasn’t important. She was just very good at being cruel.
Former prisoners testified that she personally beat inmates. She was also accused of participating in selections at Auschwitz, deciding which prisoners would remain alive and which would be sent toward the gas chambers.
Survivors later appeared in court and testified against her. Grese pleaded not guilty, but a British military court convicted her of war crimes committed at Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen.
On December 13, 1945, at 10:03, she was hanged.
They called her "the Hyena of Auschwitz", "The Beast of Belsen". Some of it was exaggerated later. Most of it wasn’t.
