And harmony and brotherhood is a blessing that Allah has bestowed upon us: “... (3:103) And remember the blessing of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts so by His blessing you became brethren...” After recognizing the commonalities among us Muslims - which are numerous and serious - unity is to work to make the commonalities harmonizing and unifying for us and to set aside what would divide and weaken us. It should not escape us and we should not lose sight of the fact that those who sow discord among us and reject our unity are enemies who seek to harm us, even if they show meekness and pretend to be concerned about us. Nor should we lose sight of the fact that whoever divides us and demonizes one part of us is a sworn enemy, even if he declares and signs his alliance with the other part. In wisdom: “He who does not know his enemy is doomed,” I say: How about those who take him as a friend and throw themselves into his arms. In light of the above, it is no longer a secret or a mystery that Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) timed and declared the Week of Islamic Unity from the 12th to the 17th of Rabi' al-Awwal, in consideration of the two narrations on the date of the birth of the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his Household) and its timing between these two days. Then you can clearly see a great and universal fruit of Islamic unity that urges and pushes us towards it, which is the extent of the solidity, steadfastness, and tenacity of the Islamic Resistance forces in the face of the power of the Zᴉonist state and its huge arsenal of warfare.
