During the #JABASACureWorkshop shakira Namwenje @HIVpxresearch fellow presented a brief history of Dr fred Gordin who was so passionate about HIV research 🔬and now there is a memorial fund dedicated to help community advocates understand HIV research.
Dr Nancy from @UVRIug noted that depending on different machines used viral load testing when one viral load is Undetectable it means they still hold the virus though it’s not infectious through sex and urges the government to help @UVRIug in HIV DNA 🧬 .

Joint Adherent Brothers and Sisters against AIDS (JABASA) is holding the first ever community workshop for Advocates on HIV Research at the Positive Living planet ,kulambiro hill kisaasi.

In her remarks, Dr Nancy from the Uganda Virus Research Institute noted that while 1.4 million Ugandans are living with him, only 87% are on treatment, with 76% of those being biologically suppressed, calling for more work from all stakeholders to #EndHIV2030.

He also mentioned that research is important in developing high-impact ARVs and other drugs that have less side effects on people living with HIV to help them adhere to their drug regiment.
