@tram_luxembourg With an opening in December, the #JFKcyclepath was handed over to the community in one of the least cycling-friendly times of the year.
Nevertheless, it was already used by several cyclists (I saw more than the one in the photo). Spring & Summer 2018 to be fantastic.
The #JFKcyclepath was built alongside the new T1 @tram_luxembourg line on Kirchberg. It is fully separated (between road crossings) and bidirectional.
That concept will be applied to other segments of the still under construction tram line.
The new #JFKcyclepath on #Kirchberg was 'opened' last Sunday. Looking back on a week with winter weather (snow, rain, cold). And yet, it is already used by cycling people.

@RTLlu @WeiPi89 @wipi89 We still need data for brand new #JFKcyclepath average speeds, but as there are no pedestrians, cyclists can easily go faster than the 16km/h average typical for urban settings. This is especially true when cycling down hill #Luxexpo to #ArretPontRouge.

@Buddhaah I would have appreciated if @PoliceLux would have included a reminder that there is also a new bidirectional bicycle pass. Can drivers not cutting cyclists having green and pretending its a unidirectional path only would also be kind.
