Went long #JSECPR Copper360 at 57c. Never done this before: shorted from R1.50 to ±80c-R1 because of near term financing issues, near certainty of dilutive event. That risk has now closed with the rights issue. Shit ton of execution risk remains; my position is small, but the primary threat is out of the way for now. All on getting top line above gross costs and operating control. The new CEO has done this before; I believe he is following his Harmony Gold playbook. Painful remedies, but remedies nonetheless. If I determine that real short term risks have re-emerged, I'll hop out.
#JSECPR Copper 360 cautionary out today noting ‘introduction of additional equity capital’ - something I cautioned was very likely in this letter, and likewise with ‘restructuring of the long term debt’. To be fair to mgmt, this was pretty much necessary. Selling volume spiked past couple days.
