Folks sometimes believe me. They ask me about the memories. Back before The Fall, it was easy. Many reference points. But now, I'm not only a man out of time, but also out of space. I'm in Humanitie's grave, and the worms aren't full.
I feel awful for the Borgs I encounter. Famyne wasted no energy or effort in expanding the limits a human mind can experience pain and suffering. They get into New Deadwood on Liberation Claims. Usually programmed to collect something. Or Someone.

Why didn't I see the fall coming? Again and again anger and mistrust has led humanity down a dark path. I thought industry would solve the issue. I fell in love with making wonders out of metal. All for not. WE brought those beasts on ourselves. Now what?

Throughout the years, death has become less a weight, and killing almost more so. I looked into my mind, and found the darkness. The desire for power. For the true exertion of force. Glad I picked up engineering instead. Clocks ain't hurt nobody.

Wisdom comes in many forms. I try and listen when I can. But there is always too much. Too much to handle. The monks taught me to let them flow like a river. It helps, but some days I lose myself in pain. Why? Oh well, new day. Always a new day.
