It was Bill Read, himself, who asked the Canton police to take Karen to the hospital after Karen threatened to harm herself in the minutes after Karen confessed to hitting #JohnOKeefe with her car and then leaving John to die in the snow (Bill also asked for help from the Dighton police to get to the hospital to be with Karen).
Then, Bill and Nathan Read (Karen's brother) picked Karen up at the hospital, drove Karen back to John’s house (where neither Karen nor Bill said anything to John’s family), and then took Karen (and the murder weapon) back to Dighton (where Bill and Karen’s mom, Janet, live).
Just hours later, Karen would go on to Google “DUI lawyer” from her parent’s home (after telling John’s sister-in-law Erin that Karen would “need to remember the bad times” and that Karen “would probably never see Erin again.”
Bill Read, even without these Verizon records, is subject to being called as a witness by the state during Karen’s re-trial in 2025.
This news, about the rule 17 motions being denied, comes after a week during which the following developments occurred in rapid succession (and after a week in which Karen Read had a meltdown in front of court, see here - https://t.co/rEYtlmiuEw):
1) A shocking series of leaked messages confirmed that #KarenRead asked Aiden #TurtleBoy Kearney to "run the plates" of a witness in Read's own criminal trial, and ask that witness questions at a children's sporting events (which, in turn, may lead to Karen, Aiden, or both, being indicted for conspiracy and witnesses intimidation). 2) Following those leaks, Karen and her family held a "secret influencer thank you event" that, in turn, alienated scores of #FreeKarenRead loyalists (who had dedicated years of their lives, in the snow and rain alike, to support Karen, only to be left off the guest list in favor of vacuous social media personalities). The Read family misjudged this approach, and the pain it would cause among the people who truly support Karen, to the point where the event alienated event Karen's long-term backers (such as #RitaLombardi). If this data confirms as such, Karen's defense in her re-trial is over before it starts (as Karen that would mean Karen "faked" discovering John's body, later that morning, when with those two witnesses).

In the weeks leading up to John's death, Karen saw John hug a family friend on a family vacation, lied about it as a reason to justify cheating on John --in John's own home and with John's friend (who was also an undercover ATF agent, until attacks by Karen's pre-trial PR campaign blew his cover).
Then, when John saw video of Karen cheating, O'Keefe asked Read to leave his home in Canton (just three days before his death).
Read refused to go, began telling John that his adopted-family members were the cause of the breakdown in their relationship, and then, in the minutes after John's death, Read left a voicemail, in a screaming tone, insulting John with vulgar language.
In the summer of 2024, after Read's first case ended in a mis-trial, the trial judge in the case found Read put forward no grounds to support her post-trial request to re-examine the vote of the jury after deliberation had concluded (a probe into jury tampering related to Read's allies is reportedly ongoing).

(UPDATE, November, 2024): over recent day, per my sources, both Nathan Read (Karen’s brother) and #DavidYannetti (Karen’s lawyer) have asked Aiden #TurtleBoy Kearney to step back from his involvement with the #KarenReadTrial (because of recent leaked messages indicating that Karen Read asked Aidan to “run #JenMcCabe’s plates” and attend a children’s lacrosse game to target witnesses in Karen’s criminal trial). Yannetti, per my sources, has even proposed seeking an order of protection against Kearney in order to insulate Karen from Kearney’s behavior (mostly related to raising money from coverage of Karen’s case).

In turn, Kearney was then jailed for 60 days and, according to my sources, began a pressure campaign to force Karen to speak with Kearney.
