A4: High quanity&quality OTRs create a climate where engagement is expected and reinforced. + specific praise for correct answers, w/ oppurtunities for coaching/feedback/practice/re-teach when the answer is not quite right. Everyone has a job and we value all responses. #JCEdChat

A3: Like content, OTRs can be differentiated. Intentional pairing/groups can help with app. peer modeling. Along with "giving" students a way to safely/apprpriately say "i dont know" and teaching them what to do after that. Peer coaching, etc. #JCEdChat

A3: Allow flexibility with Ss product. If the Ss product is suppose to show you what they know, can they show Ts through written expression, orally, digitally… and each of those avenues can vary as well. #JCEdChat

A3: intentional planning with DOK chart in hand! As an instructor if you’re always just winging your OTRs on the fly, you’re more likely to offer less rigorous ones. Thoughtful and deliberate planning will ensure that all levels of rigor are present. ##JCedchat
