Yes, watch this video!
Sadly, pastors in the U.S. face pressures as well to conform, not directly from the government, but from church members who place political allegiance over Jesus.

I'm going to say this simply and plainly: Christian nationalism is anti-Christ. It is heresy. It is sin.
#JesusNotCaesar
A Christianity that believes it needs a political party, president, legislation, and a nation to ensure its survival and enforce its values is a Christianity that dethrones Jesus as savior of the nations and promotes a belief that even Jesus needs a nation to be his savior.
This video is pure apostasy, suggesting that you need the Constitution to correctly teach Scripture. Yet, many populist Evangelicals buy into this guy and all the related nonsense. #JesusNotCaesar
Michael Flynn then suggested that pastors who don’t preach the Constitution are just “standing there, pretending like they know a lot of verses in the Bible.”
Fascinating religious angle to the current war.
Another example of why followers of Jesus must reject political alignments.

Find out why the statue Putin erected after annexing Crimea explains what may be fueling the invasion of Ukraine. And it's all about Orthodox Christianity. Read more in my latest blog:

Excellent analysis of what's really happening. "Evangelicalism is now only partially a religious movement, and the religious component may now be smaller than the political."

A hidden reality of white Evangelicals—a huge percentage never or rarely go to church. They’re unmoored from Christian community and biblical ethics. How does a party appeal to them? By becoming a God-and-country lifestyle brand. My Sunday essay: https://t.co/DpGsrD1khO
Sadly, Christians today caught up in fear have lost sight of Jesus' solution to the problems of our day, and have bought into the world's narrative centered around politics. #JesusNotCaesar /2
Yesterday's events in DC should be alarming for those of us who follow Jesus. We must denounce the evil alignment of politics with the cause of our Lord. We cannot stand by and watch. This evil, idolatrous nationalism is completely in opposition to God's Kingdom. #JesusNotCaesar
As the political noise heats up and gets nastier, it is more important than ever for Jesus-followers to take a different stand and represent only the Kingdom of God. What if we were to disavow allegiances we have to political parties and players? #JesusNotCaesar #independent
The most pressing challenge of our time for Christians is to stand against the world's systems by no longer aligning themselves with any political parties.

The only way for the church not to be divided by politics is for followers of Jesus to disavow their connection to political parties and commit wholly to God's Kingdom.

Christians today should be aghast and mourn over the fact that they are being played for the sake of politics. It has hit a new low.

Sadly, it is Fear that directs many Christians today - the reason for their ongoing political fixations, and hyped reactions to the current crisis. All a consequence of no longer living "in God we trust".

The Kingdom of God is political, BUT it has a different King and agenda, and therefore should NOT be co-mingled or confused with the politics of our world.

What I find especially disturbing is how many Christians today view life through a political lens and then try to resolve their faith with it. It should be the other way around.

I am increasingly convinced that followers of Jesus must renounce their alignment with any political party. #JesusVoter

Evangelicals are now free to no longer love their enemies. #JesusNotCaesar
I'm surprised to see this, but admire the boldness of at least this corner of evangelicalism.
