Ben sits in his hotel room holding the gun and slowly raises it and flashes back to saying he wants Belman dead and Clyde says he knows Ben made that pretty damn clear but would Ben please promise him before he makes any decision he will sleep on it and Ben says fine. Ben asks who is John texting and John says old buddy of his at the ISA he’s gonna pull up all the security footage and get right back to him and starts to leave but doubles over in pain and Ben catches him and whoa hey easy easy easy look John is in no shape to do this alone let him go with him but John says no… he’s gonna need Ben right there Clyde might show up maybe even Doc and starts to leave but turns back and says son… he’s really hoping Clyde won’t wind up as collateral damage her but he might and Ben says if Clyde’s done anything to Dr. Evans… then he deserves that and John leaves. Ben opens the drawer and takes the gun out pressing it against his nose and says it’s so messed up and sighs and says Clyde got him thinking he could actually trust him and looks at Cin’s wedding picture on the desk and asks does Clyde have any idea how much hell Ciara would be giving him… if she knew he let Clyde get away again and puts Cin’s wedding picture down. Ben says Clyde hasn’t changed… he’s still the same BASTARD… that used to beat him with that belt but he was too little to fight back and picks up a glass and says guess what Dad… he’s not little anymore so if he finds out… that he had anything to do… with Dr. Evans going missing he swears to God… and throws the glass against the door.

In Jarlena’s townhouse, John tells Belle you know Mom whenever she has a patient that isn’t doing well she’s worried about him she won’t sleep until she makes sure they’re okay so she went over to see Ben Weston she’s been really worried about him and nods. Ben is about yo leave his room when the lights go out and asks what the hell and “Ciara” says Ben and Ben turns around and sees “Ciara” standing on the other side of the room and walks toward him. Ben says Ciara staring at her and “Ciara” steps toward Ben and Ben says he can’t believe it she’s really there but “Ciara” doesn’t say anything and when Ben tries to touch “Ciara” “she” goes to the other side of the room and looks back at Ben. Ben says no no she’s not real it’s just like in the hospital when he dreamt her there until he woke up and he remembered what that bastard had done to her and “Ciara” says Ben he needs to move on because hating Vincent is looking back and he can’t do that for her but Ben says he can’t move on because he has no reason to and “Ciara” says listen to her: he cannot kill Vincent she knows he took the gun… she knows what he wants to do but he can’t go through with it it’s not who he is. Ben says he’s killed before and “Ciara” says but baby Ben’s not that person anymore and needs Ben… to stay being the man she fell in love with. At Jarlena’s townhouse, Marlena sits by candlelight looking at her phone and John watches from the couch and says it’s like Marlena is willing Ben to call her and Marlena nods and says John didn’t see Ben he was so lost and why wouldn’t he be lost Ciara was everything to him and then… to lose her so… suddenly and so tragically. John says he knows Ben is Marlena’s patient… but he’s also become more than that hasn’t he and Marlena says yeah he is and John says hmm. Marlena says she and Ben connected in a very PROFOUND way during therapy she guesses she feels… responsible for him and… maybe just a little… maternal toward him he just never had… he never had the parental love that he needed and John says and that is why he thinks… that Marlena needs to go back over there and check on Ben tonight. Marlena asks REALLY and John says yeah he’s saying that for 2 reasons: the first one is that… he knows for a fact that Marlena’s not gonna be able to sleep a wink tonight until she does— and Marlena says Ben was just lost so she said that— and John says for the second reason he knows what it’s like to feel lost he know what… he knows what it’s like to lose hope to lose faith… feel like people don’t care so it’s important… that Ben knows Marlena is not giving up on him even though he’s gonna try to push her away. Marlena says another reason to love John and John says he would drive Marlena there himself expect she force fed him those painkillers and Marlena laughs. Marlena says John is the best and John says yeah that’s true and Marlena says and she’s lucky to have him and John softly says not half as lucky as he is. “Ciara” says Ben… they ended up happy and together and nobody NOBODY ever thought that was gonna happen… but it did because he had faith: he had faith in her and he had faith in them… tonight is a horrible horrible night for him he’s all alone and he’s telling her his life doesn’t mean anything so she came back to tell him to please have faith she may not be with him but she needs him to have faith in her okay have faith in THEM and let that faith get him through this horrible horrible night promise her he’s not gonna kill again because if he does… her life will have meant nothing and Ben just looks at “Ciara” and doesn’t say a word. Ben says if Ciara really was there… he wouldn’t have to kill Vincent… please… just let him hold her and steps toward “Ciara” but she disappears and Ben looks at the gun in his jacket. Ben opens the door and Clyde is standing there and chuckles and says hello son.

Ciara looks up at Ben and asks is Jordan kidding her BEN IS TOO DANGEROUS and Ben holds Ciara back and Ciara says THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS ROOM WHO IS CAPABLE OF HURTING THAT LITTLE BOY NOT TO MENTION *ANYBODY* ELSE IN THIS TOWN IS *HER*. Jordan says she doesn’t blame Ciara for being upset with her after what happened between them and Ciara scoffs and asks “what happened” “what happened” what happened is she tried to kill her and Jordan says and she deeply regrets that she was sick at the time at the time she truly believed she was protecting her from Ben. Ciara groans she doesn’t need protection from Ben and neither does David, Ben is not a threat to Jordan or the baby or anybody else in this town. Jordan says she believes that Ciara really believes that okay but she sees it differently and Ben says okay let’s just why don’t they all take a minute and thinks they could all use a breather. Rafe says yeah probably a good idea and Ben asks is it okay if he speaks to his sister outside alone and Jordan says to Rafe she’s not sure she feels safe doing that and Ciara scoffs. Rafe says well it’s up to Jordan if she wants he’ll be right there and Jordan says fine just for a minute and Jordan walks to the door and ben follows shutting the door behind him. Rafe says okay, Ciara he appreciates what she is doing— and Ciara whips around and asks what the hell was he thinking. Rafe says listen he thinks they just need to give Jordan some time let things settle down let her get used to being back in Salem and then he will TALK to her about letting Ben see David alright and Ciara asks what and Rafe’s just gonna let Jordan live there with him and Rafe says YES yes he is does Ciara understand this way he was watch her and can make sure she is not hurting anyone and make sure she is getting better. Ciara says okay she still thinks it’s way too early for Jordan to be released much less take care of a little child Rafe come on and Rafe says he gets it he knows Jordan did some awful things to Ciara but Ben did some pretty bad stuff too but is convinced she is convinced that Ben is better so why doesn’t she just… why doesn’t she just believe the same thing about Jordan. Ben says he’s really glad Jordan is doing better and can relate obviously with… how difficult everything’s been for her… despite that their issues weren’t exactly the same but— and Jordan says not the same at all and Ben says right. Jordan says but she worked really hard with her doctors to get better and she was determined to get better because she knew her little boy needed her and Ben takes Jordan’s hand and says David does which is why he’s gonna do everything he can to help support her recovery and that includes being a part of her life and David’s. Jordan sighs and takes her hand away and says look… she… she knows that Ben is just trying to protect her son because when they were growing up she tried so hard to protect him and she failed now that she has a son of her own she can’t fail him she HAS to put him first so she’s sorry but she can never trust that the evil Ben has inside of him is gone. Marlena’s phone beeps and John asks what did she get and Marlena says oh well Jordan Ridgeway has been released from Bayview. Ben says it’s true he’s done a lot of horrible things hurt a lot of people in ways that are… unforgivable… but he’s not that person anymore he would never do anything to try and hurt her or David and can ask Ciara and Jordan says CIARA as if she’s the objective opinion on the new Ben she’s madly in love with Ben which is means she is blinded to the man that he really is… she knows the dark places that Ben’s been because she’s been there too and they both know there really is no coming back from that. Ben asks meaning and Jordan says oh don’t look at her like that okay she’s not the one Ben needs to worry about Ciara is and walks over to the door and says she just knows… something really bad is gonna happen to that girl something really awful and looks at Ben and says she’s genuinely afraid for Ciara’s life and Ben asks did Jordan just threaten Ciara. Jordan asks does Rafe really think that Jordan’s better she means Jordan kidnapped her and tried to kill her twice and Rafe says he knows he knows Jordan did and he’s sorry he knows he knows Jordan put Ciara through hell and doesn’t expect Ciara to just forgive and forget everything that happened but he also doesn’t think Jordan’s doctors would’ve released her if they thought she presented a danger to herself or anyone else with her living there he can keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t hurt anyone else and Ciara slightly shakes her head. Ben says if Jordan even tries to hurt Ciara— and Jordan says she doesn’t know what Ben means she was talking about HIM the doctor made a terrible mistake letting him out of that place honestly she is afraid of what is going to happen next and Ben looks down at the death grip Jordan is giving his hand. John asks they let jordan out of Bayview and Marlena says apparently so somebody thought she was mentally healthy enough to be released and John says huh hope it works out for the sake of that little boy especially and Marlena says MMM well time will tell and John says YEP.
