Update on Rogelio’s defamation lawsuit against Geoff Payne ‼️‼️ Rogelio Nores is trying to convince a Florida court that it has jurisdiction over Geoff Payne for “defamation.” What’s the basis? A mix of contradictory claims, vague accusations, and a clear attempt to force jurisdiction where none exists. Let’s break it down 👇🏻 
Nores accuses Geoff of making “false statements” regarding Liam Payne’s death. The so-called evidence? A few handwritten notes and testimony from Gonzalo Avendaño, a third party with no clear neutrality. The goal? To anchor this case in Florida — unjustifiably. 
To justify jurisdiction, Nores cites local statutes and Calder v. Jones, claiming his reputation was harmed in Florida. But Geoff didn’t publish anything there — and had no public campaign against Nores. He was in Wellington for private, personal reasons. 
Here’s what Nores wants:

👉🏻 To breach private doctor-patient communications involving Geoff. All to try and force jurisdiction.
It’s excessive. It’s speculative. And it’s unfair. 
Nores also argues Argentina isn’t a suitable forum — saying he lacks resources and “trust” in his own legal system. But he can’t prove Geoff has any meaningful ties to Florida either.
He just wants to choose the courtroom that benefits him most. That’s not enough. 
When Geoff invokes qualified privilege (for statements made in legal contexts), Nores cries “malice” — without concrete proof.
Just vague allegations and interpretations. No solid evidence. 
The reality is this: Geoff Payne isn’t a Florida resident.
He made no public campaign against Nores.
There’s no valid reason for him to be dragged into court there. This is legal theater — not justice. We are sure that Geoff will stand his ground.
