Branding him a drug dealer doesn't justify extra-judicial killing. FIR must be lodged. Rule of law must prevail. DGP @JmuKmrPolice must order a time-bound, impartial probe.

This young boy, Mohd Parvez, was shot and killed by Jammu Police in an alleged fake encounter in Jammu last night. He was an innocent boy with no criminal background and not a single FIR against him, yet the police shot him and later claimed it was cross-firing. These selective killings of the Gujjar-Bakerwal community continue unchecked. From Devsar to Kathua, from Shopian to Jammu, we keep seeing dead bodies but no justice. The most disturbing part is how the so-called media of Jammu is giving another angle to the story. Instead of covering the incident responsibly, they are delivering their own judgments through a communal lens, while only a few channels and portals are reporting this as the selective killing it is. We demand an immediate inquiry into this case, and justice must be served without delay.
