When are we as professionsals of #nursing and #midwifery
going to address corporate psychopathy and organisational narcissism?
In order to do so, we need to rid our professions of abusive, narcissistic leaders who climb to the top of organisations and surround themselves with people like them.
Some of them are quite charismatic, outwardly pretend to be compassionate and bully/terrorise those they lead.
I have sometimes described someone I thought I knew was caring, and those who they work with/lead/manage would respond: "Uhmm, you don't work with/for them?"
It's time for introspection.
I truly hope what is happening with the NMC creates a domino effect that disrupts the status quo. What we have CANNOT continue, for the sake of those we serve, nurses and midwives, nursing and midwifery.
