On the occasion of the summer party at the sculpture parkof #Kistefos, with over 500 guests, a new "site specific" installation by the Algerian artist, Kader #Attia, was unveiled tonight. A blue colour that combines with the intense green of the Norwegian forest that hosts the six fused glass installations. At the party were present also 140 #Kistefos Alumni - many from African countries - which received scholarships to pursue their studies in top universities.

Eight authentic #Stradivari violins played together in the Norwegian countryside? It happened tonight at #Kistefos, the extraordinary open-air contemporary sculpture park created by the philanthropist and entrepreneur Christen #Sveaas on the site of an old paper mill near a river. They are part of the extraordinary collection of 18th century string instruments from Cremona of the Anders Sveaas Almennyttige Fond foundation It is a Norwegian charitable foundation that has a unique collection of antique Italian string instruments, which comprises instruments by #Stradivari, #Guadagnini, #Montagnana and #Ruggieri, which are all on loan to young Norwegian and Scandinavian musical talents.

A clapping music by Steve Reich accompanied the function. Afterwards, in the famous #Twist we cutted the ribbon of an amazing exhibition by Hurvin #Anderson centered around the salon paintings. Thanks to Christen #Sveaas, founder of #Kistefos, for this marvellous day.
