I just remembered… the #Koloyi video was shot on the day of the BAAs. We chose to skip the awards to shoot it instead. It felt like a protest. A year later that same video won a BAA for Outstanding Music Video, as did the song’s producer and lead vocalist. Full circle 🤔

Let’s celebrate the spirit of collaboration and try not to always pit one against the other. There is a time to stand as an individual, and there is a time to stand with others. For the sake of what we tried to do with #LaLiga #Koloyi, please recognise #GangO @ByoArtsAwards

As for Koloyi and all GangO related content, it can never be attributed to any individual. We were building a movement through the #LaLiga EP, and so it must be respected as such. Even so, I invite @ByoArtsAwards to correct the error in the nominations related to #KOLOYI
