Presa di posizione durissima del leader del partito libanese #Kataeb (le Falangi):
«Non coesisteremo con questa milizia e con queste armi, indipendentemente dall’esito dei negoziati in corso. Hezbollah deve mettersi sotto il controllo dello Stato e della legge, come tutti gli altri.»
#Gemayel ha poi sottolineato come la maggioranza dei libanesi — cristiani, sunniti, drusi e molti sciiti — non sia più disposta a vivere come "ostaggio" del gruppo:
