#ThrowbackThursday to Sept 14, 2022, when the Hidden Gem set sail to test a #DeepSeabedMining system in the eastern Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ) in the Pacific Ocean. The Ocean Foundation and @Maxar worked together to collect and share satellite imagery of the Allseas ship, the Hidden Gem.
ℹ️ Maxar leveraged its Crow’s Nest Maritime Monitoring and Security solution to collect satellite images of Hidden Gem as it traveled across the Pacific and engaged in operations. Crow’s Nest was able to image the vessel through its maritime tipping and cueing service, which collects imagery of vessels of interest in an automated manner.
