ur the sweetest! i do feel like you ~get it~ ....next thing is trying to grow, leave the paralysis/fragmented thinking/writing of LSMHP, so fiction/nonfiction/conventional memoir - maybe even same themes, but i dont have the same fears which has changed how i write!
Did you think 100 pages were enough? Could you have gone on, or pulled back. Its so interesting telling such a complex story in basically the span of a focused hourlong read.... #keepit100LD
ooooo, totally love-hate. like fantasizing abt leaving/moving 2 LA, but being so in love w things in ny, even if i hate them kinda....& confused whether living here is a choice or not & using it as a scapegoat. but also it's my fav thing? so kinda like my relash to my PARENTS

Did you trust yourself as the narrator? Like when you look back on what you've written. Did it feel like you were suspended in your pain or its the most authentic version of who you were at the time and SHE still carries through? #Keepit100LD
@lenadunham YES! like, running on some sort of adrenaline or instinct or defense mechanism thing. i feel like the format was a bit of both - i was learning how to write better sentences/communicate clearer while making paragraphs of sentences (bc that's how my traumatized brain worked)
Also this just sounds like trauma. #keepit100LD
like ur body is pounding random nonsense on ur brain's keyboard.... and some type of internal monologue where you're replaying a few different themes in your head over & over - when you can't forget certain memories @lenadunham #keepit100ld
You’re caught in a sort of...you can’t emote or make decisions that you trust. To write that, especially in diary form...did that feel most natural for you or did you stretch yourself? #KeepIt100LD
ok! i was trying to communicate a specific way of thinking/feeling that's sort of like reeling, like the space of time between when something happens & u have to speak, and that type of pause where ur body is overwhelmed and ur always catching up,
