Update: Delta update support for AppImage has been implemented and verified.
Key performance results:
• Reduced delta update overhead from over 1 min to under 20s.
• Block comparison is currently bottlenecked at ~13s due to AppImage's MD4 hash processing overhead.
• Reduced fallback full-binary download time from 33s to under 13s when delta updates aren't viable.
• Added a parallel processing option in Settings, allowing users to tune performance based on their system.
A deeper observation:
• The current ~13s bottleneck is largely caused by AppImage's MD4-based block comparison mechanism.
• If AppImage compared 8 hex characters instead of 4 during matching, block comparison could potentially drop below 3s.
