Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life & I have had A LOT of them. I had been anxiously awaiting my daily phone call from #KittyBruce after her double knee surgery. I truly wasn’t expecting a call that soon, but we had started a support group (just the 2 of us) & called each other at a specific time every morning for maybe just a few minutes and usually some more. The procedure she was waiting for did not scare her, but her 20 year sobriety did. She had ALREADY suffered thru horrendous health problems the last SIX years only on Tylenol, so I knew she had this covered despite needing my feeble encouragement. As I have been hearing from family, her surgery went totally fine, but a blood clot in recovery suddenly took her very precious life & when I heard the news waiting on her call, I was struck down immediately & still have not recovered. I was only 2 or 3 weeks away from packing my still smoking NYC bag & spending some MUCH needed time with her in PA for as long as she could tolerate me waiting on her. FINALLY after 16 years we were going to hug. And hug. And hug. Then she was gone before I could officially say “goodbye.” My world & dark heart within it has been shattered beyond comprehension, but I have NO DOUBT that her & my ORIGINAL hero, Lenny Bruce, are now somewhere watching over me. I am SO glad Kitty & her parents are together SOMEWHERE… I just wish I had had more time before she was so quickly taken away. I now know what & who my first X Live Space will be about. My Chelsea Hotel Hauntings can wait. Good night, sweet, sweet Kitty. 💔 #LennyBruce #LennyBruceMemorialFoundation

Rest In Peace Kitty Bruce. Valerie became friends with Kitty while She was filming “Lenny”. They were close friends for years. Honey even wrote Valerie a letter in the 70’s saying “Valerie’s friendship and kindness to Kitty made her very happy”. RIP❤️ #kittybruce #love

Oct 13 would've been #LennyBruce’s 98th bday… A great way to commemorate all he’s done for comedy & free speech is to help his only daughter #KittyBruce - currently in dire need! Check out the vid for some laughs & info on @ComedyGivesBack To donate: https://t.co/iJeUeMHqbm

It’s Lenny Bruce’s birthday! What better way to honor him than to help support his daughter Kitty as she deals with medical bills. Watch this video message from Kitty's comedian friends (NSFW, Triumph is there!) and donate if you can.💛 #ComedyGivesBack https://t.co/tr9DohqNzU

Today we honor the legendary #LennyBruce’s birthday! This trench coat was worn by Bruce while performing stand-up during the height of his influence. On display at the #NationalComedyCenter in #JamestownNY courtesy of #KittyBruce and the #LennyBruceMemorialFoundation.

Comedians and comedy aficionados! Help out the only daughter of one of modern comedy’s true pioneers. #KittyBruce has helped so many others throughout her life - and now needs some help herself! Anything and everything helps! Please and thank you.

#ProfErwinCorey #comedystore #RealGilbert #KittyBruce DUH...i spelled his name wrong. it is Erwin Corey. maybe THAT is why he only has as many followers as me. https://t.co/iWzWgRSt6R

@realKittyBruce Kitty, i saw Professor Irwin Corey on here and sent him a tweet. i couldn't believe he only had 23 followers. He was in everybody's home on the afternoon talk shows of the 60s and his presidential run. isn't it odd he doesn't have a following among comics today?
