My visa was stamped in 2023(year Changed) at the Hyderabad consulate, but ever since then, he kept delaying my travel with excuses like “no jobs in the U.S.” or “strict immigration checks at port of entry.”
After nearly 2½ years, I realized he never marketed my profile or arranged a real project. The so-called client letter was fake, and the entire process was just a way to collect money. I ended up paying about 10,000 United States Dollar equals ₹ 887,853.50 Indian Rupee(numbers changed) via bank transfer and the rest handed to his father-in-law. Sadly, this person is based in Dallas, Texas, and his aunt (his wife’s mother) also deceived my wife and me, wasting years of our lives.
It’s heartbreaking to see Telugu “body shops” in the U.S. cheating their own relatives in the name of H-1B sponsorship. Just imagine — someone’s mother’s sister’s daughter paid $10,000 = ₹887,853.50 Indian Rupee to her so-called “uncle” in Dallas, believing he would help her come to America. This level of betrayal within families is tragic and shameful.
